Glen Eira Park Maps

From a report tabled to Council on 25 September, 2007.

"To assist dog walkers understand the dog control areas within parks, maps are displayed on Council’s web site and in brochures outlining these areas."

Unforutnately the maps are not particularly clear, even illegible, drawn to varying scales (which is not shown) and many are not correctly orientated to north.

The maps are also misleading as they do not show the areas within the designated off-leash zones, where dogs cannot be off-leash.

Below are maps of a number of Glen Eira parks comparing Council's version (on left), with a map that has been amended to show the reality on the ground viz the 50m rule (on right). As Council maps provide no scale DOGE cannot vouch for the accuracy of their version.

On-lead is shown in red.
